Alternative Portraits
This collection delves into abstract visualizations of individuals , whether personally acquainted with the artist or other inspiring real or imaginary characters who have captured her creative attention. These alternative portraits are a combination of the colours the artist associates with letters of the subject’s name and their known or perceived personality.
The Cabaret Dancer
This painting began as an abstract idea of a cabaret dancer and really took shape after I happened to see Moulin Rouge on stage at London’s West End. That show blew me away, and I just had to bring some of that buzz and colour into this piece, trying to capture the energy and vibrancy of the performance.

Kite Surfer
This piece is a commissioned work from the Alternative Portrait series, designed to encapsulate the subject's personality and vibrancy, as well as the colors I envision when I think of the letters in her name. Her passion for kitesurfing inspired the title.

Chief Onion
This piece was inspired by and in celebration of the official opening of the Onion Garden, created by a friend of mine named Jens. He has transformed an abandoned piece of concrete wasteland, into a a green community hub in the heart of Westminster - a wonderful space for humans and nature to share and enjoy.
Jens calls himself Chief Onion, hence the title. The colours and energy flow depict his personality and passion for the place.
60x40cm on panel.
Donated to the Onion Garden.
Sour Cherries at Grandma
In this work, I delve into my childhood memories, reminiscing about summer days spent at my grandmother's house, where she would serve us compote made from sour cherries grown in her garden. These are the colours I remember her by.
40x30cm on board. Mixed Media.
